Wietnam: M&A deals rise despite the global economic crisis

Last year M&A  transaction volume and value on the Vietnamese market rose despite the global economic crisis situation.


According to PricewaterhouseCooper representative, Vietnamese economy has achieved a substantial growth in IV quarter of 2009 which allows for optimistic forecast for 2010.

According to the research by Thomson Reuter and PricewaterhouseCooper, the total value of M&A transactions in 2009 was 1,14 bilion USD. The total amount rose from 167 to 295 i.e. 70% rise year to year.

PricewaterhouseCooper is planning to run a detailed analysis of the M&A market in Vietnam every six months. The research will be aiming mainly to summarize information about large individual transaction.
